The who, were my 1st real favorite band. Their music really spoke to me growning up and gave me many hours of pleasure. I was sad at the recent passing of John and then by the bands decision to continue to tour.
But the tour statment that's just an opinion.
The fact that substance abuse shortened his life is tragic. But is it news worthy at this point?

[img]graemlins/broken_heart.gif[/img] I actually hung out and partied with John Entwistle one warm CA night. He was somewhat pleasant until he began drinking and thereafter became extrmely belligerent and denegrating to all within earshot...

Look, he's crawling up my wall
Black and hairy, very small
Now he's up above my head
Hanging by a little thread
Boris the spider
Boris the spider
Now he's dropped on to the floor
Heading for the bedroom door
Maybe he's as scared as me
Where's he gone now, I can't see
Boris the spider
Boris the spider
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
There he is wrapped in a ball
Doesn't seem to move at all
Perhaps he's dead, I'll just make sure
Pick this book up off the floor
Boris the spider
Boris the spider
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
He's come to a sticky end
Don't think he will ever mend
Never more will he crawl 'round
He's embedded in the ground
Boris the spider
Boris the spider

If you have never heard a true "over the top" John Entwistle bass solo. 2 can be found:
There was an amazing 2 disc live set out on music maker.com call the who the blues to the bush in 1999. The bass solo on 5:15 will steam roll you.
The other was on a vhs or now dvd that was from the who's 1989 concert tour of "Tommy". He let's it rip on amazing journey.
Be at peace "OX"
